Track

Track was born from the insight that 50% of vinyl records purchased are never listened to. This is probably due to the fact that these new records are sold with a digital download code (they are mainly cut from digital masters anyway so what’s the point — don’t get me started on that one…). This shows a hunger for people to have a physical object that can represent their musical tastes. Enter Track…

Track is an App that allows you to attach any song or playlist to any object through augmented reality and machine learning. Imagine if people could add songs to objects, this would rejuvenate mixtape culture, as well as make objects more precious and less likely to get thrown into landfill.

Imagine if Record Labels started to release albums and singles through objects, These objects could be used to give added functionality to the album, having the potential to generate increased income for the labels and artists. Imagine if Brands could start tagging songs to their products (whether this is celebrity endorsement or a promotional giveaway). People will engage with packaging in entirely new ways. Products will have a higher value, remaining out the bin for longer giving it better visibility in the world.
